Event description

Grief Out Loud is a Girls Scout Gold Project developed by a young woman named Kyree. This project is designed to help children and teens ages 5-18 grieve through artwork. In this program Kyree will tell you about her project while you create two mixed media masterpieces using silhouettes, watercolors and tissue paper. One of these pieces of art will be yours to take home and the other will be added to Kyree’s Grief Out Loud board to help raise awareness of the important role art can play in helping children cope with grief. This program is geared towards children who have experienced grief, whether it be through the loss of a pet, family member, friend, or neighbor, however all children are welcome to participate. Stop in any time between 12 PM to 4 PM to contribute to this project.

All events at the Glendale Public Library are public, and participants may be photographed by the media and/or City staff for future print and/or online publication.
