This month's adventure takes us "down under" to the Australian outback. Sprinkled with boom and bust mining towns, teeming with unique wildlife and scorched by the sun, the outback is a vast wilderness hiding many mysteries. We will ride the railway, which is the lifeblood of commerce in the outback, carting in workers and supplies and transporting out the gold, opals, beef and more for sale all over the world. We will also explore natural wonders like the great red monolith at the heart of Australia, great flat plains, towering cliffs and more.
All events at the Glendale Public Library are public, and participants may be photographed by the media and/or City staff for future print and/or online publication.
Please arrive on time for registered programs. If you are more than 10 minutes late, your space may be given to another and you may be denied entrance to the program.
