Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by diving into the vibrant world of Alebrijes! Originally inspired by the dreamlike visions of artist Pedro Linares López who blended different animal features into colorful, patterned masterpieces, teens, ages 12-18, will learn the history and symbolism behind these while designing and painting their own flat wooden animal pins using the bold colors and intricate dotting techniques that make this art form so unique. All materials will be provided for this hands-on workshop
All events at the Glendale Public Library are public, and participants may be photographed by the media and/or City staff for future print and/or online publication.
