Event description
Celebrate the culmination of a week of music, learning, and community at the Grand Finale Concert featuring Baba Shibambo and Connie Avery.
This special performance brings together workshop participants of all ages as they join Baba & Connie on stage, sharing the rhythms, songs, and skills they’ve learned throughout the residency. Audiences will experience an uplifting celebration of traditional African music, storytelling, and dance—highlighting the power of collaboration and the joy of collective music-making.
As the African Music and Arts Village comes to a close, this inspiring concert honors the connections formed, the cultures explored, and the vibrant sense of community created through music.
All events at the Glendale Public Library are public, and participants may be photographed by the media and/or City staff for future print and/or online publication.
